Calvary Baptist
Church Calvary Baptist was
started in 1956 by a group of believers who felt a great need for an independent, fundamental, Baptist church in
the City of Visalia. We started as a prayer group. In 1958, the church held its very first service as a church.
It was then officially organized and named in 1959. Originally, we were a member of the Baptist General
Conference, but we became fully independent in the 1970s.

The first time you walk in the door on Sunday you will see greeters that can direct you to
any of the many things happening on site. If you have children you will want to arrive a few minutes early to get
them checked in to their classrooms.
Awaken
Church We are a community of followers of Jesus Christ, committed
to live by faith, to be known by love, and to be a voice of hope. The name of our community comes from our
vision to awaken people to who God is, who they were created to be, and how they were created to
live.

Visalia Thanks for visiting us on
the web! Although nothing beats face-to-face relationships, I hope you’ll begin to catch the First Pres heart
beat as you explore our site. While we share the same
basic beliefs as all Christians, no church can be “all things to all people.” So who are
we?
Faith Baptist
Church
Since coming to Faith Baptist Church in 2006, I have found a loving church family. The spirit of kindness and
friendliness is expressed each time we gather for worship and fellowship. One of the special joys for me
personally, is watching the interaction before and after each service.
